- 350 Aotearoa is the New Zealand arm of 350.org, an international campaign dedicated to creating an equitable global climate treaty that lowers carbon dioxide below 350 parts per million.
- 350 parts per million (ppm) is the maximum amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere that scientists say is safe. We're currently at around 389ppm and rising by about 2ppm per year.
- October 24th is 350's International Day of Climate Action. Groups all over New Zealand and in over 100 countries around the world are holding events and activities to raise awareness about the number 350 in the lead up to December’s international climate change summit in Copenhagen, Denmark.
- 350 Aotearoa was launched in December 2008 at the Wellington Climate Action Festival. There are now over a dozen regional 350 groups throughout New Zealand.
